Abstract： As a research-oriented faculty, FHS only admits students with master degrees or good bachelor degrees for a Ph.D. programme. Admission details, including the English language proficiency requirement, are located at the website of the Graduate School of University of Macau.
Abstract： Ph.D. students in FHS need a minimum of 27 credits (students with Master’s Degree) and 30 credits (students without Master’s Degree) of course work and fulfill other requirements set in General Regulations Governing Ph.D. Programme in order to graduate. These 27 credits of course work comprise of one University-wide on-line course “Research Ethics”, two Faculty-wide compulsory courses, one* Required Elective course and a doctoral thesis.
* Students admitted via the Direct Entry channel (without Master Degree) are required to take a total of two Required Elective courses.
Tuition fee and Post-graduate Assistantship：
Abstract： Starting from the academic year of 2014/2015, the Tuition Fee Scheme becomes credit-based. All full-time Ph.D. students in the Faculty receive post-graduate assistantship of MOP12,500/month, which will be increased to MOP14,000/month after passing the qualifying examination and thesis proposal assessment, subject to the “University of Macau Funding Policy for PhD and Master Students”
